gaylord palms resort,
coquina dunes golf

CLIENT: Gaylord Entertainment
Gaylord Palms Resort, Spa & Convention Center
Kissimmee, Osceola County, Florida

This premiere 1,400 room resort, spa, and convention center has a design basis and storyline around the sights and sounds of Florida. In late 2007 the resort initiated the first round of amenity enhancements and improvements followed by early 2008 phase two improvements. Adding to the highly themed environments of the four acre grand atrium was the addition of a 9 hole Championship Links putting course called Coquina Dunes and a Aquaplay water park elements around the marine-themed Clearwater Cove swimming pool.

Coquina Dunes is a miniature golf course with professionally contoured putting greens that range in length from 50 to 85 feet in length. Surrounded by lushly planted landscapes that resemble botanical gardens, the facility functions as a miniature golf for the children, short game skills practice area for golfers, and last but not least as an early morning fitness and walking trail for resort guests during nonpeak operating hours.
