resort water park

CLIENT: SANDALS RESORTS INTERNATIONAL
Beaches Resort, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos

This Caribbean seaside resort's design premise utilizes the 1.5 acre water park as a central resort amenity that compliments the future 800 room hotel build-out, restaurant and retail district, casino and resort spa expansion. The new water park has been designed with a 750 foot long lazy river, three bay surf simulator ride, multiple slide complexes, a 'kiddie' pop-jet splash deck and a teen aquaplay splash-deck called Pirate's Isle. The new water park compliments the resorts existing pirate themed water play pool & slide complex. The Pirates Isle area is accessorized with tube and body slides, a pirates themed ship wreck and island garrison aquaplay zone, and a lazy river that meanders through a lushly planted resort landscape, pools, waterfalls and a cave-like grotto that passes under a teen night club. The river experience travels through several 'water-wars' stations along the river, through splash play waterfalls and finally exists to a neighboring splash deck and Pirate's Isles slide and wet deck queue.
