country heights drive estate
CLIENT: Private Residence
Richmond Hill, Ontario

An 18,000 sq. ft. Liore Valley chateau inspired custom residence located on a large treed lot within the protected oak ridges moraine. This home has a full complement of luxury amenities including a fitness centre, sports courts, and an indoor swimming pool with waterfall. The landscape vision was to create an extension of the architectural details and materials within the framework of a formal, clean and elegant garden expression. The rear yard landscape considers a scalable entertainment terrace that creates an opportunity for smaller lounge style settings or opened to larger events. The indoor swimming pool deck flows out a series of french doors to a sunning patio surrounded by ornamental metal railings and natural stone privacy walls. The front streetscape is defined by formal front entry walls and gates that lead up a tree canopy lined driveway to an oval porte cochere and main entrance water feature.

msla's role: MSLA provided full landscape architecture master planning, concept development, and construction drawing production. Project bidding assistance, plant material procurement, and construction administration / observation services were also provided to ensure the construction and finished details met the design intent.
